Windmills

I saw a field of windmills
They swallowed me
As I gazed out the window
I gave a sigh
Because I’d never noticed the beauty of windmills
The simple white, slender tips
Gradually turning
Creating energy
Scientific
But also awakening
These structures
Sticking in the ground
Always turning
For all that pass by
Do they understand
The wonder of the windmill
And if they do
They take a deep breath
And sigh
